What We Believe...

The Scriptures:

The Bible is the inerrant word of God. It was written by men who were divinely inspired by God. The Bible lays out the process by which man is redeemed from Hell and able to spend eternity with God.

The Trinity:

The eternal existence of God as three personas. There is God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit. All three personas are equal in power and essentially one being.

God the Father:

There is only one God. He created everything in the universe and rules over the universe justly. He is the only being that is perfect in all ways.

God the Son:

Jesus Christ is the divine son of God. He was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. He performed many miracles and taught many followers the way to salvation. Jesus was crucified on a cross, but through his death salvation was obtained. Jesus was all man and all God at the same time. He was the God-man.

The Holy Spirit:

The Holy Spirit is the guide and helper to men on earth. The Holy Spirit is what allowed the select men to write the Bible. The Holy Spirit also empowers the believer and allows God to live within us.

Salvation:

Salvation cannot be obtained by works or living a morally good life. Man is born sinful and can only find salvation through the blood that Jesus shed at the cross. Jesus gave up his life, which was sinless, and became a substitute for the sins of everyone in the world. Salvation is obtained by grace that only God bestows. You must believe that Jesus came to die for you and place your life and trust into God’s hands and follow him.

Baptism:

Baptism is achieved by full immersion in water. This is an act of obedience that gives public testimony to salvation. It is an outward expression of one’s salvation.
